Initial Post (Meeting Betty)

 1. My initial impression of the rats before our lab last week was that I was scared. I have never been a rat person per se, but after getting along with Betty, my perspective is slowly but surely changing. Gracie's initial impression was that the rat was cute. She was afraid she would be nervous around Betty, but she wasn't. 

2. J'Shell was able to hold Betty on last week. Gracie and I were both able to hold Betty during the first week. 

3. J'Shell has been in the lab to hold Betty twice since last week. 

4. My impressions of the rat have changed since the first time meeting her. Although I still get nervous before picking her up, my impressions have changed because I feel like Betty and I have bonded more. Gracie hasn't been able to interact with Betty since the first day due to sickness. Sadly, her impression hasn't changed yet because she hasn't had much time to bond with her yet.  

5. Gracie and I decided to name our rat Betty. Gracie and I decided on this name because we thought it would be nice to give our rat an older person's name. We decided on six different names and used an app to randomly choose.
